Everyone trained, everyone current, without the spreadsheet.
KnowTrain finds expiring certifications, builds training from your own procedures, assigns the right course to the right people, books the time and follows up until it is done. You approve the rollout. The records stay audit-ready.
KnowTrain
Expiring certification
Built for training, safety and operations teams that keep a workforce qualified.
Where the day goes today
Tracking who is trained and current means spreadsheets and reminders. Certifications expire and nobody notices until an audit. New people take weeks to get signed off because nobody is sure who is qualified on what. Toolbox talks are sign-in sheets, and the training content itself is out of step with the procedures on the floor.
From an expiring certificate to a signed-off worker
Watch the expiries
Every certification, licence and authorization has a date. KnowTrain surfaces who is due weeks ahead.
Build from your SOPs
Courses and quizzes are drafted from your own procedures, so the training matches the work.
Assign by role
The right module goes to the right people by role, line, site or equipment. You approve the rollout.
Schedule and remind
Sessions are booked, reminders go out, and anyone overdue is flagged to their supervisor.
Record the sign-off
Completions, quiz results and practical sign-offs land in a skills matrix by person and task.
Report
Who is current, who is due and who is overdue, by site, role and course, ready for an audit.
Everything between a procedure and a qualified worker
Credential expiry tracking
Certifications, licences and medicals watched, with warnings weeks ahead.
Courses from your SOPs
Training content drafted from the procedures you already have.
Quizzes and knowledge checks
Short checks that show the training landed, not just that it was attended.
Role-based assignment
Training matched to role, line, site and equipment.
Skills matrix
Who is qualified on what, by person and task, kept current as sign-offs land.

Talks drafted from recent incidents and hazards, with signatures and a quick check collected.
Equipment and task sign-offs
Authorizations recorded against the equipment and the task.
Safety certification exam prep
Study material and practice questions for the ASP, CSP and CRSP exams.

EHS managers and safety coordinators

Plant and site managers
Who need new hires signed off and crews qualified for the shift.

You approve the rollout
KnowTrain drafts courses, proposes assignments and chases completion. People decide what is assigned, to whom and by when.
- Course content is drafted for review. A subject expert approves it before anyone is enrolled.
- Assignments are proposed, not pushed. You approve the rollout and the due dates.
- Supervisors confirm practical sign-offs. A quiz alone does not qualify someone on equipment.
- Overdue items are flagged to people, not acted on by the agent.

Questions about KnowTrain
Do we need to replace our LMS?
No. KnowTrain can track completions from your existing LMS alongside the courses it builds. Many teams use it for the tracking, assignment and follow-up their LMS does not do.
How does it build training from our SOPs?
You share the procedure. KnowTrain drafts a short course and a knowledge check from it. A subject expert reviews and approves before anyone is enrolled.
Does it assign training on its own?
No. It proposes who needs what and when. You approve the rollout, and only then are people enrolled and reminded.
Can workers complete training on a phone?
Yes. Modules, quizzes and toolbox talk sign-offs work on a phone, which matters for frontline and temporary workers.
How does it work with KnowSafe and KnowComply?
KnowSafe raises the incidents and hazards that toolbox talks and retraining respond to. KnowComply maps training records to the clauses of your standards and contracts. KnowTrain keeps the records they both rely on.
What happens when someone's certification lapses?
You are warned weeks ahead and the refresher is proposed before the date. If someone does lapse, they are flagged in the skills matrix so a supervisor can act.
Can it handle several languages?
Training content can be prepared in the languages your workforce uses. How this is set up varies by workspace.
Is it audit-ready?
Yes. Completions, quiz results, sign-offs and expiry history are kept per person and per course, and can be reported by site, role or standard.
