Set up your first check round
Start with one line and one set of checks: limits, schedule, who records and who approves.
3 min read
Most teams start with the pre-op or CCP checks for one line, then add. Here is the order that works. The exact screens vary by workspace setup.
1
Pick the line and the checks
Choose one line and the checks it already runs on paper. Enter each check with its limit or pass/fail criteria.
2
Set the schedule
Decide when each check runs: per shift, hourly, pre-op, or on a batch event. KnowQuality creates the round on that cadence.
3
Name who records and who decides
Operators or supervisors record the checks. A quality lead approves holds, corrective actions and closures.
4
Run it for a week on a phone
Have the line record the round on phones alongside paper for a week. Then retire the paper.
Run one line through it.
Bring your pre-op or HACCP checks for one line. We will show you capture on a phone, the NCR, the CAPA and the trace.
