Do a walkaround and report a defect

What a driver does on the phone for a pre-trip or post-trip inspection, and what the agent does with each defect.

2 min read
The walkaround is the same one drivers do today, done on a phone instead of a paper book. The difference is what happens to the defect afterwards.
1

Open the inspection for your unit

On your phone, pick the unit (or scan its tag if your fleet uses them) and start the pre-trip or post-trip inspection.

2

Work through the items and photograph defects

Tick each item as checked. For anything wrong, mark it as a defect and take a photo. Add a note if needed, then sign off the inspection.

3

The agent routes the defect

Each defect becomes a drafted repair order for the shop the same minute, with your photo and the unit's history attached. If the defect meets your fleet's out-of-service rules, the unit is held and you are told before you leave.

4

See when the unit is cleared

Once the shop finishes and a person releases the unit, its status changes and the driver can see it is clear to go.

Run tomorrow's walkarounds through it.

Bring a few units and driver files, and we will show you how defects get routed, units get held and expiries get caught early.
