KnowMaintain: frequently asked questions
Common questions about approvals, the CMMS, mobile use and how KnowMaintain works with other agents.
Does the agent assign work on its own?
Only if you set a rule that allows it. By default it drafts the work order, proposes a priority and a technician, and a person approves before anything is assigned.
Do we still need our CMMS?
Yes. KnowMaintain keeps it current rather than replacing it. Work orders, PMs and completions are written back so your system of record matches the floor.
How do other agents send work in?
A failed KnowOps checklist, a KnowFleet walkaround defect, a KnowLive camera event or a KnowQuality out-of-tolerance instrument each becomes a drafted work order with the evidence attached. When it is closed, the result flows back to where it started.
Does it work without a signal?
Technicians and operators capture reports and close work on a phone, and it syncs when they are back in coverage.
Can I see who approved what?
Yes. Every draft, approval, assignment, note and closure is kept against the asset with a timestamp.
See your backlog the way the agent sees it.
Bring a few of your assets and last month's work orders, and we will show you how PMs get scheduled, defects become work orders and the CMMS stays current.
