Open a nonconformance and close the CAPA

From a failed check or complaint to a drafted NCR, an approved corrective action and a verified closure.

4 min read
An NCR in KnowQuality is drafted, not written from scratch. The agent brings the evidence, suggests a cause and proposes the fix. The investigator and approver make the calls.
1

Start from the failure

A failed check, a hold or a customer complaint opens the NCR with the lot, the line, the time and the evidence already attached.

2

Confirm the root cause

KnowQuality suggests a root cause from the record and similar past cases. The investigator confirms, changes or adds to it.

3

Approve the corrective action

A corrective action with a proposed owner and due date is drafted. The approver confirms before anyone is assigned.

4

Let the agent chase

The owner is reminded as the date approaches. Overdue actions are flagged to the approver. The agent never closes a CAPA itself.

5

Verify and sign off

Verification evidence, such as a follow-up swab or inspection, is attached. The approver signs off and the record closes, linked end to end.

Run one line through it.

Bring your pre-op or HACCP checks for one line. We will show you capture on a phone, the NCR, the CAPA and the trace.
