Run the shift's checks and counts

What an operator does at the station during a shift, and what the agent does when a check fails or is missed.

3 min read
During the shift, checks and counts are done where the work happens. The agent watches for anything skipped or failed so the lead does not have to.
1

Do the check when it appears

The checklist shows up on the phone or tablet at the station when it is due. Work through the steps and attach the photo or reading where asked.

2

Record counts and downtime as they happen

Enter the hourly count and pick a downtime reason when the line stops. These feed production control and OEE inputs without being reconstructed tomorrow.

3

When a step fails

Mark it failed and add a photo. The agent proposes the next action under your rules, a KnowMaintain work order or a KnowQuality nonconformance, and sends it for approval.

4

When a check is missed

If a checklist is not started or a step is skipped, the agent reminds the station, then escalates to the lead under the timing you set. It also appears on the handover.

Run tomorrow's handover through it.

Bring one line's checklists and last week's handover notes, and we will show you what the agent compiles, flags and carries forward.
