Running a health scan
The 30-second contactless scan, the 15 vitals it produces, and how to read them.
How rPPG works
The scan uses remote photoplethysmography (rPPG). As your heart beats, blood pulsing under the skin causes tiny colour changes in your face that are invisible to the eye but measurable by a camera. AI tracks those signals across the recording and derives your vitals from them.
Running a scan
Open Video Assessment and allow camera access, centre your face in the oval guide until it turns green, then hold still for the 30-second capture — readings stream live as it runs and are analysed and saved to your record when it finishes.
The 15 vitals
Core vitals are Heart Rate, Heart Rate Variability, Respiration Rate, Oxygen Saturation (SpO₂), Blood Pressure, and Stress Level. Derived metrics add Mean Arterial Pressure, Pulse Pressure, Pulse-Respiration Quotient, Cardiac Workload, Sympathetic and Parasympathetic activity, Heart Age, Signal Quality, and a holistic Wellness Score.
Reading your results
Each vital is flagged normal or out-of-range, and a Wellness Score summarizes the scan on a 0–100 scale. Watch the Signal Quality / confidence value — a low score usually means poor lighting or movement, so a quick rescan gives a more trustworthy result. Even, front-on lighting beats any camera upgrade.
