Read the Carriers list
Open Carriers to see who your carriers are and who to talk to — seeded from 3G — with their codes, SCAC, MC and DOT numbers, location, contacts, contracts and status.
1 · Open Carriers
Click Carriers in the sidebar, under Workspace, between Rate Finder and Contracts.
2 · Read the counters
Four counters sit at the top of the page.
- Active carriers — How many active carriers you have.
- Contacts — How many carrier contacts are on file.
- With contracts — How many carriers have at least one contract.
- No contact — Carriers with no contact yet — worth filling in.
3 · Find a carrier
Search by carrier name, 3G code, SCAC or MC number. Tick Show inactive to include inactive carriers — the count beside it shows how many you're seeing, such as "5341 of 5415".
4 · Read a carrier
Each row shows one carrier.
- Carrier — Its name, and where it came from, such as "from 3G export".
- 3G code — Its code in 3G, such as TP-11136.
- SCAC · MC · DOT — Its SCAC, MC and DOT numbers.
- Location — Where the carrier is based.
- Contacts — The first contact, and how many more — such as "BOGAN GRUBIC +1".
- Contracts — How many contracts the carrier has, or a dash if none.
- Status — Whether the carrier is Active.
5 · Move through the list
Carriers are shown a page at a time — choose how many per page, and use the page numbers to move on.
6 · Add more
Click Add carrier to add one at a time, or Import from 3G export to bring in a list. The guide to adding, editing and importing carriers covers both.
