Add, edit or import carriers
Add a carrier and the people bid invites go to, open a carrier to see its contacts, contracts and bid invites, edit or delete it, or import carriers from a 3G export.
1 · Add a carrier
On Carriers, click Add carrier at the top right. The Add Carrier panel opens: carrier details and the people bid invites go to.
2 · Fill in the details
Enter what you know about the carrier.
- Carrier name — For example "KeHE Distributors".
- 3G code and SCAC — The carrier's code in 3G and its SCAC.
- MC and DOT number — Its MC and DOT numbers.
- City, State and ZIP — Where the carrier is based.
- Active — Leave it ticked so the carrier can be invited to bid.
3 · Add contacts
Under Contacts, click Add contact for each person bid invites should go to. With no contacts, invites have no one to reach.
4 · Save it
Add any notes, then click Save Carrier — or Cancel to close without saving.
5 · Open a carrier
Click any carrier in the list. The panel shows its status and where it came from (such as From 3G export), its 3G code, SCAC, MC, DOT and location, then:
- Contacts — Each contact's name, email and phone.
- Contracts — Contracts in the library that name this carrier — or Open Contracts if there are none.
- Invited to bid — The RFPs the carrier has been invited to. Invite carriers from a project's Carriers view.
6 · Edit a carrier
Click Edit to open the same form, filled in with the carrier's details. Each contact has a name, a role (such as Pricing or Dispatch), an email and a phone — remove one with its trash icon, or click Add contact. Click Save Changes, or Cancel to close without saving.
7 · Delete with care
Delete is at the top right of the carrier's panel. Check you have the right carrier before you use it.
8 · Import carriers
To add many carriers at once, click Import from 3G export on the Carriers page.
Send us your hardest RFP.
We'll run it through KnowRFP and you can compare the result with what your team sent.
