Add a new category

Adding one is a single step: give it a name and save. It's immediately available the next time an app is created or re-scoped, with no need to touch existing apps.

Edit a category

Renaming a category updates it everywhere it's used — every app already scoped to it keeps its place, so a taxonomy can be tidied up without reassigning a single app by hand.

Delete a category

Removing a category that's no longer needed keeps the list from accumulating clutter. Knowella flags whether apps still use it, so nothing is orphaned by an accidental delete.

• Add — Name it and it's ready to assign.
• Edit — Rename in place — every app scoped to it follows along.
• Delete — Remove what's unused, with a check for apps still assigned.

Why it matters

A taxonomy that's never tended turns into a junk drawer — categories nobody remembers the purpose of, sitting next to duplicates of themselves. Keeping it curated is what makes App Builder's category picker actually useful as the number of apps grows, instead of just another dropdown to scroll past.
