Download a proposal — the rated files, the workbook and what the client sees
Which file each download button gives you, how to choose the sheets in the workbook, and what to check before the client gets it.
Open the Download tab
Open the project from Projects, then choose Download in the panel on the right — beside History, Carriers, Insights and Explore. Each rated proposal is listed with its status and when it was rated, for example "Proposal 2 · Rated · Oct 27, 3:05 AM".
Open a proposal to see its datasets
Click a proposal to expand it. Each dataset it rated is listed with two downloads: Rated, the dataset with the carrier cost added to every row, and TMS input, what was sent to the TMS for rating.
Rating results: the rated sheet and a CSV
Once the lanes are rated, Rating results offers Open rated sheet to read it in place and Download CSV to take it away. Each dataset also has its own line with two downloads.
- Rated — The dataset with the carrier cost added to every row.
- TMS input — What was sent to the TMS for rating — the file to check when a price looks wrong.
Choose the sheets in the workbook
At Review deliverable, each sheet the workbook will contain is a ticked chip with its row count — the data, the rate sheets, the fuel surcharge tables, the rules and the accessorials. Untick any sheet you don't want before you download.
Internal or external deliverable
Switch between Internal deliverable and External deliverable to see the version for your own team and the version meant for the client. Read the external one as the client will before you send anything.
The download buttons
The deliverable has its own row of downloads.
- Internal .xlsx — The internal workbook; the number is how many sheets it contains.
- Download for client — The client's version, with a menu of formats.
- Their file, rated — The customer's own file with your rates filled in.
Step files
Step files keeps the working files from the run, such as the preview template (.xlsx) and the rated file (.csv). Use them when you need to see exactly what a step produced.
Before it reaches the client
Share with client has two options: Show carrier cost and Show carrier names. Leave both off unless the client should see what you pay and who carries the freight — they are the two things a client file most often shouldn't contain.
Send us your hardest RFP.
We'll run it through KnowRFP and you can compare the result with what your team sent.
