Analytics shows how your bids are performing: how many you win, why you lose, how far projects get and how quickly you deliver. Win rates, loss causes and pipeline value come only from the outcomes you record in the Bid outcomes table at the bottom of the page — so start there. This guide follows the walkthrough above.

1 · Open Analytics

Click Analytics in the sidebar, under Workspace. The line under the title counts your projects, runs and client links issued — for example "165 projects · 28 runs · 5 client links issued". Click Refresh at the top right to reload the figures.

2 · Record outcomes first

Until any outcome is recorded, a yellow banner reads "No bid outcomes recorded yet". Win rates, loss causes and pipeline value stay empty until you mark projects won or lost in Bid outcomes. Cycle times are live from the start — the "Cycle times are live" tag shows they don't depend on outcomes.

3 · Read the counters

Five counters sit along the top.

  • Projects — Every project, with how many are open and how many are no-bid.
  • Open pipeline — The value of open projects — and how many have no value set yet.
  • Win rate — Won bids out of decided bids, such as "0 won of 0 decided".
  • Won value — The dollar value of the bids you won.
  • Lost value — The dollar value of the bids you lost, and how many were lost.

4 · Wins & losses by month

Bars count bids by the month they were decided, split into created, lost and won, and the line is that month's win rate.

5 · Pipeline by status

Each slice of the ring is the number of projects in a status, such as Open. Hover a slice to see the dollars.

6 · Why we lose and who to

Two panels explain your losses.

  • Why we lose — The root cause on every bid marked lost, weighted by dollars in the tooltip.
  • Losing to — The competitors named on lost bids. It fills in from the Lost to column in Bid outcomes.

7 · Lifecycle funnel

How many projects reach each stage — Project created, Golden template, Internal deliverable and External deliverable — with the share of all projects and the median time for each hop. A red tag such as "165 not yet past this stage" shows where projects are stuck; "no data yet" means no project has made that hop.

8 · Delivery speed trend

The median number of days from project to external deliverable, by the month it shipped. Hover a point to see the month and its median days.

9 · Get ideas to win more

Under Ideas to win more, click Analyze my win/loss data. KnowRFP builds its ideas only from the numbers on this page — nothing else.

10 · Read the ideas

A key takeaway sums up what the numbers say, followed by numbered ideas. Each idea ends with the Evidence behind it, so you can check it against the charts. Click Regenerate once your numbers change.

11 · Record bid outcomes

The Bid outcomes table is the only place this data comes from. For each project, set:

  • Status — Open, won, lost or no-bid.
  • Value $ — The dollar value of the bid.
  • Loss reason — Why a lost bid was lost — this feeds Why we lose.
  • Lost to — The competitor who won it — this feeds Losing to.

12 · Stage times

The Golden, Internal, External and Total columns show how long each project took to reach each stage, such as "28.94d" in Total. A dash means the project hasn't reached that stage.

13 · Move through the list

Projects are shown a page at a time — choose how many per page, and use the page numbers to move on. The charts above update when you save an outcome.
