ERG-036 Video Assessment is the only video template in the library. Earlier drafts had a separate form for each method, which meant filming a task once and then filling in six sets of joint angles by hand. That work is now done by the analysis.
What the assessor does
- Obtains and records worker consent, and agrees a retention period.
- Captures the task properly: side view, front view, whole body in frame, five or more cycles, worst case included, normal pace, a typical worker rather than the best performer.
- Selects which methods to run.
- Enters the two things video cannot measure: load weight and applied force.
- Reviews each returned score against what they can see, and overrides only with a stated reason.
The six methods

What comes back
The results section repeats, one row per method selected. Each row carries the score, a risk band normalised across methods so results can be compared, the dominant contributing factor, and the worst cycle. Bands and dominant factors are the useful part, because the dominant factor is where the control belongs.
One capture can be scored by several methods. A single video of a boning task can produce a REBA score, a Snook force answer and a MAC total without filming the task again.
The two things video cannot give you
Weight and applied force cannot be derived from footage. They are entered by hand, only where a method needs them, with a field stating whether they were measured or estimated. An estimate carries through into every number that method returns, which is why the distinction is scored.
