Read the summary cards

Four cards sum up the whole portfolio.

  • Total variance flagged — Everything the audit has found: $835,437 across 3,259 audits.
  • Open exposure — The part that's still to recover: $434,597 across 1,508 open cases.
  • Closed — Cases resolved so far (1,751).
  • Carriers audited — How many carriers have been checked (75), with the median variance (13%).

Check resolution progress

The bar splits audits into Closed (green) and Open (red): 54% of 3,259 resolved in the walkthrough. The red pill shows how much of the flagged money is still open (52%). Compare the two: when the money share is higher than the case share, the big cases are the ones still open.

See the top carriers by overbilling

Carriers are ranked by flagged variance, with the amount, number of audits, how many are still open and their share of the total. In the walkthrough, Brantley Truck Brokerage is $226.6k (32%) with 541 cases open, followed by C.H. Robinson and ArcBest.

See where the money leaks

Failure codes are ranked the same way, with the amount, number of cases and share. CFRT (Freight Cost Discrepancy) is $385.1k, 46% of the total, and CCAC (Unaccounted or Unauthorized Accessorial Charge) another $179.2k. Below the top five, no code is above $16.1k.

Decide where to start

Use the two lists together: the top carrier and the top codes are where recovering money will move the totals fastest. Go back to the Freight Audit list and filter by that carrier or reason code to work the cases.
